This vase is 5.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. It has a striped sgraffito design throughout the body of the vase - this means the body was painted with a black underglaze while it was still clay and then I carved through the black to reveal the white clay beneath. A clear glaze was then applied. The top is glazed with a floating blue that has yellow streaks throughout. The inside is fully glazed as well and this could hold water and a small flower. It could also be purely decorative. This is one of my favorites!
